SYDNEY, promissory note, Hutchinson, John, one shilling promissory note, Sydney 181(3) signed but date and serial not visible. Stuck down on thick paper otherwise fair and rare.
Ex Dr W.J.D. Mira Collection. Hutchison was transported for forgery and acquired a ticket of leave from Governor Macqaurie. Later, in partnership with Simeon Lord, Hutchison issued promissory notes 1813, later appearing 1830 in Hobart Town (see lot ).
