THIRD OF EXCHANGE, ú18.0.0 Sterling, Van Diemen's Land, Hobart Town, 9th January 1826, After ten days sight of this my third of Exchange (first and second of the same tenor and date unpaid) please pay to the Order of Mr G Butler Eighteen Pounds Sterling on Account of Pension due to me as the Widow of the late Quarter Master William Leach Royal Artillery Drivers at the rate of ú36 per annum from 1st July 1825 to 1st January 1826, To Messrs Greenwood & Cox, Paymasters, Royal Artillery Drivers, London, signed Ann Leach, marked on front, (9) at top in red ink and at bottom in red ink, (9) H.L. / Pd. Denmark Hill 18th Jany 1826, endorsed on back, Pay. Very fine.
