CHARLES I, (1625 - 1649), Nicholas Briot's coinage, silver crown, mm flower and B/B, issued 1631-2, (29.80 grams), obv. legend reads MAGN BRITAN FRAN ET HIBER, diamond stops in legend, (S.2852, N.2298, Brooker 714 [same dies]). Toned, flan undulated from production by rocker press, several flan flaws on obverse, some adjustment marks on horse's hindquarters, otherwise good very fine and rare.

Ex Seaby, London, April 1982. Coin is struck with dies upset.
