CHARLES I, (1625 - 1649), Tower mint under king, silver crown, mm triangle over anchor over tun/triangle over anchor, issued 1639-1640, Group III, type 3a, (29.36 grams), rev. inverted N of REGNO, four pellets either side of mint mark, (S.2758, N.2195, Cooper XVII+/XXIV+, Brooker 264 [similar dies]). Toned, round and attractive, very fine and rare.
