CHARLES I, (1625 - 1649), Tower mint under king, silver crown, mm prostrate anchor over tun/prostrate anchor, issued 1638-9, Group III, type 3a, (29.65 grams), rev. inverted N in REGNO, (S.2758, N.2195, Cooper XVII+/XXIV, Brooker 262 [same dies]). Toned, round and attractive, weak on obverse fine/nearly very fine and very scarce.

Ex Seaby Coins, London, May 1989, and previously from the Seaby Coin & Medal Bulletin May 1983 (E280).
