CHARLES I, (1625 - 1649), Tower mint under king, silver crown, mm cross calvary over lis both sides, issued 1625-6, Group I, type 1b, (29.35 grams), rev. plumes over shield, (S.2754, N.2191, Cooper II+/VI). Toned, fine and very rare.

Ex Downie's Auction, Melbourne, Sale 181, 28 August 1984 (lot 703) and previously from the collection of Lord (Rodney) Smith of Marlow Collection, purchased by Spink London, with ticket.
