GALLO-BELGIC, Imported to Britain, uninscribed coinage, Gallo-Belgic C, Ambiani type, (c.90 - 80 B.C.), gold stater, (6.37 grams), obv. Celticized abstracted head of Apollo left, with worn features, rev. Celticized horse to right, with crescent and dot below horse, (S.5, Mack SCBI No.26, Van A. 44). Very fine and rare.
