SINGAPORE, The Courage Fund, SARS, Courage Star award medal, 2003, in pure silver (54mm), edge marked 'The Courage Fund'. Uncirculated.

This award and the following lot for the Courage Medal was created in 2003 by The Courage Fund for awarding to healthcare workers to recognise them for their extraordinary courage and selfless dedication in the fight against the deadly SARS virus that threatened the entire nation of Singapore. The fund was jointly organised by several related Singapore health groups and Singapore Press Holdings.
