HENRY VIII, (1509-1547), second coinage. (1526-1544), silver groat, London, bust D, mm lis, (S.2337E, N.1747); another first coinage, penny, Durham mint, under Bishop Thomas Ruthall, obv. 'Sovereign seated' type, mm. lis, TD above shield, issued 1509-1526, (S.2331, N.1776); Henry VIII copy of a groat from the Royal Armouries. First coin with chip in edge, otherwise fine - nearly very fine. (3)

Ex A.J. Gibbons Collection (from Regal Coins, Melbourne in December 1974 for the first coin and L. Nugent for the second coin).
