GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianii, Rome mint, issued 243-4 obv. radiate bust right, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. AETERNITATI AVG around, with Sol standing to right holding globe and raising hand, (S.2430, RIC 83, RSC 41) (5); others (2) similar obverse, rev. CONCORDIA MILIT, Concordia seated to left, holding patera and cornucopiae, (S.2432, RIC 65, RSC 62) (2); another issued 240, same but reading IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG on obverse, reverse as before, (S.2431, RIC 35, RSC 50). Several with green surface oxidation, otherwise very fine. (8)
