L. FARSULEIUS MENSOR, (c.75 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.798 grams), obv. Liberty diademed and draped bust to right, S C and cap of Liberty behind, [ME]NSOR before, rev. Roma in biga to right assisting togate figure to mount, XXVII below, L.FARSVLEI in exergue, (S.329 [£85 VF], Cr.392/1b, Syd.789, B. Farsuleia 2). Good very fine and rare.

This type may allude to the lex Julia (B.C.90) by which the right of citizenship was granted to all Italians.
