C. NORBANUS, (c.83 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.886 grams), obv. diademed head of Venus to right, C. NORBANVS below, CXXXXV behind, rev. ear of corn, fasces and caduceus within dotted border, (S.278 [£160 EF], Cr.357/1b, Syd.739, B.Norbana 2). Slightly off centre on the obverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine and rare.
