ANONYMOUS SERIES, (225-212 B.C.), silver didrachm (quadrigatus), (4.861 grams), Uncertain mint (possibly Rome), obv. laureate janiform head of the Dioscuri, border of dots, rev. Jupiter in quadriga to right, driven by Victory, Jupiter holds sceptre and hurls thunderbolt, in exergue ROMA raised on tablet, (S.33 [£225 VF], Cr.28/3, Syd. 65, RSC 24). Surface oxidation, otherwise nearly very fine and scarce.
