EGYPT, Kingdom of, Cleopatra VII, (51-30 B.C.), copper forty drachms, (9.808 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed bust of Cleopatra VII to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on a thunderbolt, to left cornucopiae, around **KLEOPAS BASILISSHS]*, to right M = 40, (S.7956, BMC 6-11, Sv.1872). Good colour, evenly worn as usual, nearly very fine and very rare.

Ex Spink & Son, London with ticket and Noble Numismatics Sale 60 (lot 2007). Scarcer denomination with this queen's portrait.
