6884 Pte Paul Shugg, Enl.15Jan1917, Emb.11May1917, WIA 01Sep1918, GSW right leg, RTA 25Jan1919, Disch.22Apr1919. 35850 Gnr. Leonard Malcolm Shugg, Enl.02Mar1917, Emb.09Nov1917, WIA 13May1918, multiple GSWs to leg, thigh, arm, RTA 30Jun1918, Disch.27Feb1919, graduated as Dental Surgeon from Melbourne University, 20Jul1927 entered RAN, served as Surgeon Lieutenant, 21Feb1933 he was in the dental surgery on HMAS Canberra, flagship of Australian Naval Squadron during manoeuvering in Tasmanian waters when a petrol lamp he was using exploded setting fire to his clothes, badly burning him about his body, arms and legs, he died at Hobart a week later on 28Feb1933. 6945 Pte James Shugg, Enl.04Apr1917, Emb.21Nov1917, DOW 04Jul1918 at 6 Aust Field Ambulance Main Dressing Station at St Acheul, Amiens from severe shell wounds to abdomen and right arm received at Villiers Brettoneaux. Buried at St Pierre Cemetery, Amiens. With extensive research on all three brothers and a rare family triple casualty group.
