THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.966 grams), Lysimachia mint issued about 281 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, lion head inner left to left, monogram of **PAR* and ANT in exergue, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **LUSIMAXOU*, (cf.S.6814, Muller 49, Thompson -, SNG's -). Nearly extremely fine and extremely rare, the symbols combined apparently unpublished.

A coin with very good style bust for Alexander with a fine eye piercing forwards and upwards.
