HERACLIUS, (610-641), gold half solidus, Constantinople mint, issued 610-613, Class I, (2.19 grams), obv. diademed draped bust to right of Heraclius, dN hRACLI US P AVG around, rev. Cross potent on globe, around VICTORIA AVGV, (S.784, DOC 51, BMC 81-4). Portrait extremely fine, otherwise very fine and scarce.

Ex Ted Murphy Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 47 (lot 1963) and with old Spink ticket dated October 1966.
