MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), plated silver tetradrachm, (14.628 grams), Hierapolis-Bambyce mint, issued c.330 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, to left plain, M under throne, **ALEXAND[ROU]* to right, (cf.S.6713, Price 3216, BMC -, M.[1315]). Crude reverse style, nearly very fine, a very rare mint.
