MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.022 grams), Cnidus mint, issued c.201 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, to left a prow over monogram to left, **ALEXANDROU* to right, (cf.S.6713, Price 2472, BMC 2472a-b, M.-). Small flan, nearly very fine/very fine, scarce.
