RUSSIA, early 20th century silver plaque, 20.5cm x 9cm in a later frame. The plaque depicts a complex design with a snake coiled around a goblet at the top of the plaque, with a central panel of a sesuous naked woman standing on human skull, clutching a goblet with a coiled snake in her right hand and a leafy branch in her left hand. An owl perches on a branch at her feet above the bottom plaque, inscribed "Mediana". Stamped 84.
