CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 210, Rome mint, (3.132 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT, rev. Victory advancing to left, holding wreath and palm, around VICTORIA BRIT, (S.6900, RIC 231a, RSC 629). Lightly toned, extremely fine, scarce.

This refers to the successful military campaign in northern Britain beyond the provincial frontier.
