COMMODUS, (A.D. 177-192), AE As, Rome mint, issued A.D. 192, (8.26 grams), obv. head of Commodus to right wearing lion skin, around L AEL AVREL [COMM AVG P FEL], rev. across field HER CVL RO MANO AV GV, S C, club downwards, all within laurel wreath, (S.5864, RIC 644, C.193, BMC 722). Green patination, weak on obverse legends, otherwise good very fine and rare.
