TIBERIUS, (A.D. 14-37), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 14-37, (3.108 grams), obv. laureate head of Tiberius to right, around [TI] CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS, rev. PONTIF MAXIM, Livia seated to right, with vertical sceptre and branch, (S.1763, RIC 30, BMC 48). Toned with porous surface, otherwise nearly very fine and scarce.

Of Biblical importance as the issue is often described as the Tribute Penny (Mark 12: 14-17).
