MAN. ACILIUS GLABRIO, (c.49 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.638 grams), obv. Salus laureate head to right, SALVTIS upwards behind, rev. Valetudo (Salus) standing left leaning against column and holding serpent, around MN ACILIV[S I]II VIR VALETV, (S.412, Cr.442/1a, Syd.922, RSC Acilia 8). Off centred on reverse, toned, otherwise good very fine and rare.
