MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.022 grams), Damascus mint, issued c.330-320 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, AP [monogram] X to left upwards, **L* below throne, **ALEXANDR[OU]* to right, (cf.S.6713, Price 3200, BMC 3200, M.1346, Demanhur Hoard No.2910-6). Bright, nearly very fine, scarce.
