MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III (the Great), (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.018 grams), Alabanda mint, issued c.173-167 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right, with lion skin, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched and, to right **[A]LEXANDROU, to left under arm Pegasus to left, below throne E, (cf.S.6713; Price 2464, BMC 2464a-b, M.1147, cf.SNG Cop. 756). Large flan, toned, obverse with surface pitting, otherwise nearly very fine/good very fine.
