ITALY, Bruttium, Croton (Kroton), (500-460 B.C.), silver third stater or third nomos (2.512 grams), obv. tripod, crane to left, QPO to right, rev. tripod, incuse, (S.258, cf.SNG Cop. 1756-1757, SNG Munich 1434, Gale 20, SNG ANS 303, Attianese 23). Nearly extremely fine and rare in this condition.

Ex R. Climpson Collection, Noble Numismatics sale 85 (lot 1410) and previously from CNG Auction Sale XXVII, September 29, 1993 (lot 382).
