SHARE SCRIP, Broken Hill South Limited, certificate for one hundred shares (4) three dated 1918 and one dated 1923, certificate for fifty shares dated 1924. Very fine. (5)

Broken Hill South Silver Mining Company was registered in 1885 and acquired the Great Bonanza claim. After many difficult years the company finally paid a dividend in 1896 and in 1898 its capital was increased to 800,000 pounds (see the above scrip) and it was registered with a new name, Broken Hill South Limited.
