NEW SOUTH WALES, five shillings or holey dollar, 1813, struck on a Charles III Mexico City Mint eight reales, 1777 F.F. (Mira - Noble 1777/1; dies B/2:II/6). Even grey tone, countermarks clear, good fine and rare, especially such an early dated matrix.

Bought from Dave Raymond about 1944 and illustrated in the Bank of New South Wales booklet "The Story of Currency in Australia" from April 1954, p.7.
