This lot of approximately ÃƒÂº1 and 5 shillings of freshly minted pennies was saved like so many following the King's abdication. They are sold on behalf of a niece of the original owner, William Elworthy, an engineer with the Rabaul Electric Light Company who was accidentally killed in New Guinea while photographing the eruption of a volcano at Rabaul in 1937.
