RISING SUN BADGE BAR BROOCH, in 9ct gold, 5 gms, engraved on reverse "Love / From Fred / 1919". In original case of issue with maker's name inside the lid " F. Lasseter & Co / Ltd / Watchmakers / & Jewellers / Sydney." Very fine.

This brooch was a gift from DCM recipient, Sgt Fred Cullingford, to a woman who looked after him when he returned to Australia after being severly wounded. Also see lot 4187.
