PERU, 1870, Central Transandino Railroad, section from Callao to Oroya, constructed by Enrique (Henry) Meiggs (51mm) silver by C.E.Bryant, Lima, obverse, steam train leaving mountain tunnel and entering town, reverse, list of officials for inauguration within double legend (Moyaux 432). Several edge nicks and two edge bumps but still a nicely toned medal, very fine.
