MEXICO, Philip II, (1556-1598), silver cob eight reales, Mexico City mint, assayer O, not dated, but issued before assayer F and struck from early in the period 1571-1598, (Cayon 3918 [type 66, note assayer O and mint mark cuts the circular line around shield], Calico [CC] Type 160, No.242, KM.-). Waterworn, nearly very fine, weak in places as usual, very rare.
