LUCIUS VERUS, (A.D. 161-169), gold aureus, issued 163-4, Rome mint, (7.130 grams), obv. L VERVS AVG ARMENIACVS, bare head to right, rev. Victory standing to right, placing shield inscribed VIC AVG on palm tree, around TR P IIII IMP II COS II, (cf.S.5338, RIC 522, C.248). Has been slightly bent, otherwise about very fine.
