BERKSHIRE, Reading, J.B. Monck's eighteen pence token in silver, 1811 (D.4); Picard's Peninsular, halfpenny token 1812, Bust of Wellington. Good very fine; fine, the second gilded. (2)

J.B. Monck issued a gold forty shillings or two pound piece in 1812, this by Halliday for Edward Thomason, showing a crowned bust of Alfred left. Monck was proprietor of his own bank and was MP for Reading.
