SCOTTISH SCHOOL MEDAL, 1878, in silver, (53.5mm), a hand engraved silver disc in a very heavy cast ornamental frame with suspension bracket and ring, engraved on obverse 'Stand Firm / Presented by / Alex Grant Esq SSC / Ex Mayor of Fitzroy / Melbourne Australia', and on reverse 'Gained by / John Londen / Second / in Competitive Examination / English Lower School / Madras Academy / Cupar Fife / 26th June 1878'. With case of issue. Good extremely fine.
