ST KILDA BOWLING CLUB (VICTORIA), handcrafted medal in silver with gold overlay (56mm), obverse, a bowler in gold, engraved below 'A Great Player', reverse, the Arms of St Kilda, and inscribed around 'Presented to the St Kilda Bowling Club for competition by Wm.Nimmo, Vice-President - gained by Geo.Freer'. A superb and historical item of Australiana and probably unique, uncirculated.

Ex Spink Australia Sale 22 (lot 1573). The first game of bowls at the newly formed St Kilda Club took place in 1865 between two teams representing the President and Vice-President (Wm.Nimmo). See article on this medal in the Journal of the N.A.A. Vol 4, 1998, p12. Together with photocopies of letters from the St Kilda Bowling Club.
