GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver denarius, (2.962 grams), obv. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, laureate bust right, rev. PIETAS AVGVSTI around, Pietas standing to left. raising both both hands, (S.8677, RIC 127, RSC 69). Lightly toned, extremely fine.
