TITUS, restoration issue in the name of Augustus, (issued A.D. 80). AE as, Rome mint, (9.52 grams), obv. radiate head to left, around DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER, rev. facade of the altar enclosure of the Ara Providentiae Augusti with double panelled doors and horns visible above, around IMP T VESP AVG REST, SC across, PROVIDENT in exergue, (S.2581, RIC 191, C 559 [Augustus]). Dark patination, otherwise very fine and scarce.
