NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE sestertius, issued c.65, Lugdunum mint, (27.48 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Nero, around IMP NERO CAESAR AVG P MAX TR P P P rev. Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory and parazonium, ROMA in exergue, S C across field, (S.1961, RIC 591, WCN 477, BMC 326). Attractive even dark greenish-black patina, very fine or better and rare in this condition.
