AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), AE semis, Lugdunum mint, issued A.D. 10-14, (5.15 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Augustus, around CAESAR AVGVSTVS DIVI F PATER PATRIAE, rev. altar of the cult of Roma and Augustus at Lugdunum, flanked by two columns, each surmounted by statue of Victory, in exergue ROM ET AVG, (S.1692, cf.RIC 234, C.238). Attractive patina, good metal, very fine and scarce.
