CONSTANTINE I, (A.D. 307-337), AE follis, issued 322-323, Trier mint, (3.076 grams), obv. helmeted cuirassed bust to right of Constantine, around CONSTAN TINVS AVG, rev. globe set on altar inscribed VOT/IS/XX, around BEATA TRAN QVILLITAS, .PTR. in exergue, (S.3870, RIC 368); another similar issued 321, (3.262 grams), with obv. of Constantine wearing trabea and eagle tipped sceptre in right hand, (RIC 305). Dark brown patination, first with reverse surface roughness, otherwise nearly extremely fine or better. (2)

Ex Langtoft Hoard (buried c.325 A.D.) and found September 24, 2000, with M.R.Roberts tickets.
