GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued 241-3, (4.318 grams), obv. radiate bust right, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. AEQVITAS AVG around, with Aequitas standing to left holding scales and cornucopiae, (S.2429, RIC 63, RSC 25). Brilliant, uncirculated and rare in this condition.
