MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), AE dupondius, issue struck at Rome in A.D.168-171, (11.900 grams), obv. M ANTONINVS AVG TR P [XXIII,XXIIII or XXV], head laureate to right, rev. around SALVTI AVG COS III, S C in field, Salus standing to left, holding cornucopiae and sceptre, feeding snake from altar, (cf.S.5068, cf.RIC 965, C.549). Dark even attractive patination, good very fine, weak at end of obverse legend.
