MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 177, (3.526 grams), obv. laureate head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around M ANTONINVS AVG GERM SARM, rev. around TR P XXXI IMP VIII COS III P P, Victory advancing to left, holding wreath and palm, (S.4944, BMC 735, RIC 378, RSC 949). Lightly toned, extremely fine/good very fine and scarce.
