RACE, W; New Zealand War 1863. Copies of the manuscipt held in the Mitchell Library. This 331 page hand-written manuscript is a memoir that appears to have been written by a man who was recruited at Ballarat for the volunteer militia forces for the Waikato. He later joined Von Tempsky's company of Forest Rangers. Details of service in the Waikato are given.
