CLAUDIUS, (A.D. 41-54), silver didrachm, Caesarea in Cappadocia mint, issued A.D. 46-48, (6.862 grams), obv. laureate head of Claudius to left, around [TI CLAVD CA]ESA[R] AVG GER[M P M TR P], rev. Claudius in triumphal quadriga to right, in exergue [DE BRITANNIS], (S.1840 [£750 VF], RIC 122, RSC 15, RPC 3625). Almost no legends portrait good fine, otherwise fair and rare.
