AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, Lyons mint, issued 2 B.C. - A.D. 4 and later, (3.674 grams), obv. laureate head of Augustus to right, partial legend CAESAR AVGVSTVS DIVI F PATER PATRIAE around, rev. Caius and Lucius Caesars standing facing, shields and spears between them, above on left simpulum to right, and on the right a lituus to left, partial legends in exergue C L CAESARES and around AVGVSTI F COS DESIG PRINC IVVENT, another (3.744 grams), (S.1597, RIC 207, RSC 43, BMC 519). Last with edge chip, off centred or weak in places, otherwise very good - fine. (2)
