TRIO: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. Named to 720 PTE G. Klug 31BN. A.I.F. no ribbons. Extremely fine.

Together with a Memorial Plaque named to George Klug. George Klug was a 27-year old painter, single and a native of Ballarat, Victoria. He enlisted on 14 July 1915 joining 31 Battalion Australian Infantry. He was killed-in-action on 24 April 1918 and is buried at Belgium 11 Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery Belgium. Source AWM145 Roll of Honour cards, 1914-18 War, Army. His name is located at panel 119 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
