EGYPT, Alexandria, Tranquillina wife of Gordian III, (married A.D. 240/1-244), billon tetradrachm, year 7 = A.D. 243-244, (13.640 grams), obv. diademed and draped bust of Tranquillina to right, around CAB TPANKV*LL*INA CEB, rev. Victory walking to left, holding wreath in hand and palm over shoulder, to left LZ, (cf.S.3868, type and date in Emmett [Rarity 3], BMC 1928, SNG Cop. -, Milne -, Dattari -, cf.Koln 2689 [year 6]). Dark chocolate brown patina, good very fine and very rare.
